In 2022, a new era dawned in the world of fireworks with the inception of Joe Dirt, a visionary concept brought to life by seasoned fireworks entrepreneur Brent Munnerlyn. Located just off I-20 in Augusta, GA, the inaugural Joe Dirt store marked the beginning of an exciting journey, but the roots of this venture run deep.

Brent Munnerlyn is no stranger to the fireworks scene. His journey commenced back in 2003 when he embarked on a mission to spread the joy of fireworks from a modified enclosed trailer in Lexington County, SC, operating under the banner of SAM Fireworks. Over the years, Brent’s dedication and entrepreneurial spirit flourished, leading to the establishment of additional stand locations. In 2017, the iconic BadaBoom Fireworks store opened its doors in Lexington, SC, captivating enthusiasts with its vast array of unique fireworks.

However, the evolution didn’t stop there. With a vision to redefine the fireworks landscape, Brent secured both state and national trademark rights for Joe Dirt Fireworks, laying the foundation for a new era of pyrotechnic excellence. Under this new trade name, future stores would carry forth the legacy of innovation and quality synonymous with the Munnerlyn name.

Behind the scenes, Munnerlyn Pyrotechnics had been blazing its own trail since 2009, blossoming into a regional powerhouse known for orchestrating over 200 shows annually, manned by a team of 59 licensed shooters. Recognizing a demand for 1.3G fireworks in the Southeast, Brent seized the opportunity to fill this void. In 2023, Munnerlyn Pyrotechnics pivoted to become a distributor of Wizard 1.3G products, setting the stage for unparalleled access to premium-grade fireworks in the region.
